Dan Murnaghan
Head of Supplier Chain at Roke
Dan Murnaghan is Head of Supply Chain for Roke, a leading UK innovator in science and engineering. He has nearly 20 years’ experience in the aerospace and defence industry and holds a master’s degree in business administration (MBA) from Manchester Business School.
Dan is a passionate advocate for sustainable and responsible sourcing and is actively involved in shaping Roke’s approach to ESG to maximise positive impact throughout the supply chain and our communities. Dan also supports the JOSCAR Zero governance group in a drive to support the wider defence supply chain in reducing carbon emissions.
Nat Harling
Director of Business Development at The Outward Bound Trust
Natalie is proud to have worked for Outward Bound for 25 years. As part of the Senior Management Team, Nat leads the Trust's business development, overseeing the core business streams of education, early careers, and summer adventures. In addition, Nat has driven forward the digital transformation across the Trust and champions the customer experience project.
Passionate about the impact that outdoor experiential learning can have on young people, Nat is driven by the goal of developing long-term partnerships with organisations so more young people can develop key skills through outdoor learning and transfer these back into the education or employment setting.
Kevin Craven
CEO, ADS Group
Kevin Craven became CEO of ADS Group in April 2021, having served as a member of the ADS Board for three years, including as ADS Vice-President, Defence.
Born in Zimbabwe, Kevin was educated at St George’s College, Salisbury and at the University of Witwatersrand (BSc Electrical Eng).
In 1991 Kevin, who is British, moved to the UK and ran a large leisure centre before moving into contract catering with Gardner Merchant in 1994 (acquired by Sodexo in 1997).
Kevin moved to ARAMARK in 2002 to head up Specialist Markets, supporting mainly public sector areas of Healthcare, Education, Defence, and Criminal Justice.
In 2006 he took over Balfour Beatty WorkPlace, the FM arm of the infrastructure Group. After significant growth there, Kevin was promoted to CEO of the newly‐formed Support Services division in 2010. The division included utilities – both gas and power transmission, integrated facilities management, highways maintenance, rail infrastructure and the UK Shared Services operations.
In 2014 Kevin was made Chief Executive Serco UK & Europe comprising six business units including Defence, Transport and Heathcare.
Kevin has served as a non-executive on numerous engineering joint ventures including Romec with the Royal Mail, Atomic Weapons establishment and United Group in Australia.
Dr Sam Healey FICRS
QinetiQ Group Director ESG
Dr Sam Healy trained as a geophysicist and has had a number of roles including research, strategy and leading a team delivering environmental research and advice for defence projects. As Director of ESG (Environmental Social Governance) Sam is responsible for ESG strategy and the delivery of a broad range of programmes across the QinetiQ Group including climate change, ethics, community investment, and ESG stakeholder engagement. Sam has worked in environment and sustainability for over 25 years and is recognised as a QinetiQ Fellow for her leadership and contribution.
Sam is Chair of the ADS Sustainability Working Group and is a Board Director of the Institute of Corporate Responsibility and Sustainability (ICRS), focusing on the continued professional development of CR&S practitioners. She is also co-chairs a working group as part of the Defence Suppliers Forum Climate Change and Sustainability Steering Group.
Richard Lock
Director Supply Chain Management at Boeing
Career history: Richard joined Boeing Defence UK (BDUK) in February 2013 having previously worked for both automotive and aerospace organisations. He has held a number of leadership roles across the BDUK supply chain function supporting its growth and development over that time.
In December 2022 Richard moved in to the Supply Chain Director role and now leads the entirety of the BDUK Supply Chain organisation.
Education: Richard is MCIPs qualified and holds a Business Degree.
Current responsibilities: BDUK Supply Chain Director, part of the Boeing global supply chain capability group, leadership of the Boeing UK strategic supply chain council. Richard is also BDUK’s SME Champion.
Gary Little
Supply Chain Business Partner at Atlas Elektronik UK Ltd
Gary Little is the Supply Chain Business Partner at Atlas Elektronik UK Ltd with primary responsibility for sustainability, business improvement and indirect procurement. Gary has spent over 20 years in the Defence supply chain, with a number of defence primes, but since joining Atlas just prior to the pandemic, has increasingly focused on the emerging sustainability agenda and the key role the defence supply chain can play in driving a credible contribution to social value and to the challenge of climate change.
He has worked with public procurement regulations in both the Utilities and Defence sectors and has a Masters in Business Administration from Sussex University.
Gary has witnessed the development of the JOSCAR platform from its initiation in 2014 and the early struggles to persuade suppliers of its benefits, through to the thriving community that it has become today.
Gary has had a lifelong passion for the sport of football and continues to play walking football having been fortunate enough to represent both the county and the south west region.
Katie Ducharme
Vice President, Supply Chain at Ultra Maritime
The Ultra Maritime Supply Chain team is responsible for the subcontract management and procurement of all material, services and support across the company. Katie has developed the Supply Chain organization to be a strategic advantage for Ultra Maritime. The Ultra Maritime Supply Chain team leads the negotiation and execution of contracts with suppliers ensuring that customers receive quality parts on time.
Prior to her current position, Katie was the Business Segment Director for Surface Ship Warfare Systems at General Dynamics Mission Systems. She has held positions of increasing responsibility in supply chain, engineering, program management and quality at General Dynamics, Raytheon and CAES (formerly REMEC Microwave). Katie started her career as a Military Police Officer in the U.S. Army, where she achieved the rank of Captain.
Katie received her Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering and Master’s Degree in Manufacturing Engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute in Worcester, Massachusetts.
